Treasurer

Matthew Pipkin, Jr. was born in Baltimore, Maryland on March 28th, 1997. Pipkin is both a proud Marylander and Annapolitan, as he has had the privilege to live in the Annapolis area for his entire life. Growing up in Annapolis, it was hard for Pipkin not to notice the political squabbling that went on at the state capitol. And yet, even at a young age, Pipkin was drawn to it. His cousin, E.J. Pipkin, served in the State Senate from 2003 to 2013, even becoming the State Senate Minority Leader for the Republican Party. EJ’s work in the state senate inspired Matt to get involved in politics, proving to him that even Republicans could have a political impact in a blue-state like Maryland.

Pipkin attends Towson University as a rising Junior, pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in political science, as well as a minor in American studies. Pipkin has been active in the Towson College Republicans since his freshman year, joining the executive board his sophomore year as the Director of University Relations. As well as being Treasurer for the MDFCR, Pipkin will continue to be on to Towson College Republicans’ executive board as their Secretary of State for the 2017-2018 school year.

Pipkin currently works for the “Hogan for Governor” reelection campaign as an intern, helping the campaign in political research, fundraising, and event planning and execution efforts. Pipkin also works for the private marketing consulting firm “Baird Consulting LLC” as an Apprentice, helping to develop and grow small businesses in and around the Annapolis area. Following undergraduate studies, Pipkin has ambitions to go on into law school to help further his career in politics.
